Visit from MESCYT to follow up on the Improvement Plan of the 2019-2024 Five-Year Evaluation of UNICDA

The Universidad Domínico Americano (UNICDA) received a visit from delegates of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (MESCyT) as part of the first cycle of follow-up visits for the Improvement Plan of the Five-Year Evaluation. This program aims to verify the compliance of higher education institutions (IES) with established quality standards.

The meeting included participation from MESCyT representatives, including Mr. Juan Francisco Viloria Santos, Deputy Minister of Evaluation and Accreditation of IES; Mrs. Lourdes Concepción, head of the Five-Year Evaluation department; and Mr. Juan de la Cruz, technical head of evaluation and accreditation. They were welcomed by the Institutional Self-Evaluation Committee, led by our rector, Engineer Ramón Sosa. Deputy Minister Viloria emphasized the importance of these visits to obtain a real picture of the quality level of each institution in the eight dimensions being evaluated.

The Five-Year Evaluation is a process carried out every five years to examine the institutional conditions of IES, ensuring their compliance with established quality criteria. This follow-up is essential to identify improvement opportunities in the university’s internal management. This process reaffirms the institution’s commitment to continuous improvement and the training of highly skilled professionals.
