UNICDA and AINEP strengthen cooperation to promote educational development in the Dominican Republic

The alliance includes initiatives in teacher training, educational management, innovation, research, and academic and professional exchange.

The Domínico Americano University (UNICDA), managed by the Domínico Americano Cultural Institute (ICDA), and the Association of Private Educational Institutions (AINEP) formalized a Cooperation Agreement aimed at promoting joint initiatives to strengthen educational quality, foster professional development, and generate new opportunities for the Dominican educational community.

The agreement was signed by Lic. Enrique Alberto Fernández Malla, rector of UNICDA and executive director of ICDA, and Wara Inmaculada González Brugos, president of AINEP, who formalized both institutions’ commitment to work collaboratively in support of strengthening the educational sector.

Among the main areas of cooperation are teacher training and professional development, strengthening skills for leadership and management, English and Spanish language teaching, research and educational innovation, vocational guidance, and academic and professional exchange. The agreement also includes actions related to digital transformation, cultural activities, and the development of environmental awareness initiatives.

This collaboration opens a space for sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices between both institutions, with special attention to the needs of private educational centers, their teaching and administrative teams, as well as their students. It also seeks to encourage closer ties between academic training and practical experiences that contribute to the development of professional competencies.

The alliance brings together ICDA’s experience in language teaching, teacher training, and education at different levels, along with AINEP’s work in connecting private educational institutions and promoting initiatives aimed at strengthening management and educational quality.

Through this agreement, UNICDA, ICDA, and AINEP reaffirm their interest in promoting spaces for collaboration that contribute to continuous training, innovation, and knowledge exchange, in response to the challenges and opportunities of the Dominican educational system.

With this alliance, the institutions are committed to working together as a way to strengthen the capacities of the educational community and contribute to the development of quality education in the Dominican Republic.
