UNICDA technology students participate in the 2026 Interuniversity CTF to strengthen their cybersecurity skills

The competition brought together students from different universities across the country for a day of hands-on learning, technical challenges, and knowledge sharing in information security.

Students from the Technology area at Universidad Domínico Americano (UNICDA) participated in the 2026 Interuniversity CTF, a university cybersecurity competition that brings together young people from different higher education institutions to test their knowledge and skills through challenges inspired by real-world situations in the digital environment.

In its second edition, the event was held as part of the ITLA Security Fest 2026, with the purpose of promoting practical learning, analytical thinking, and the development of new talent in the field of cybersecurity.

During the competition, participants faced challenges of different levels of complexity, designed to assess their technical skills and their ability to identify solutions in various information security scenarios. As part of the activity, they had to find codes known as flags, which are entered into the system to earn points according to the difficulty of each challenge.

The challenges were developed by a team of experts and were adapted to different experience levels, creating an environment for learning and applying knowledge.

The event also served as an opportunity for exchanging experiences and connecting students from various higher education institutions. In addition to UNICDA, representatives from Loyola, INTEC, ITLA, PUCMM, UAPA, UCSD, UCE, UNAPEC, UNIBE, Universidad del Caribe, UNPHU, and UTESA took part.

The participation of UNICDA students in this type of initiative contributes to strengthening their technological competencies and bringing them closer to the challenges faced by the industry, in a context where information protection and the security of digital systems are becoming increasingly important.

Through these experiences, Universidad Domínico Americano continues to promote learning opportunities that complement academic training, encourage the development of practical skills, and prepare its students to respond to the needs of a constantly evolving technological environment.

UNICDA thus reaffirms its commitment to training professionals capable of innovating, facing the challenges of digital transformation, and contributing to the construction of a safer future.
