For the first time in history, the Dominican Republic participated in the 36th edition of the World Competition of Mathematics and Logic Games, held in the city of Lausanne, Switzerland. The competition has 8 categories that include participants from 3rd grade of elementary school to professional experts in the area of mathematics.

372 finalists participated in the international competition, among which was one of our professors, Mr. César Santil, who obtained 14th place in the final ranking of the adult category, GP. Likewise, the young Dominican, Juan Manuel Jimenez Alberto, obtained 28th place in the category of adolescents and academics, L1.

These results confirm that our country has the capacity to excel in scientific and mathematical disciplines.

Congratulations! Our university is proud and celebrates the achievement of our professor in this competition.
